 ARTISTIC JOURNEY

Aurélie Lierman (°1980 Karago, Rwanda) completed an MA in Audio Visual Arts, option Radio (Rits, Brussel 2002). She  studied vocal jazz, mostly as an autodidact. But she was also briefly enrolled at Lemmens Instituut in Leuven where she studied with Natscha Roth, Pierre Van Dormael, Peter Hertmans and Bart Van Caenegem (2005-2006).

Previously Aurélie Lierman has also been active as a radio maker and radio presenter for VRT ( the national Belgian Broadcasting corporation) 1999- 2007 until she decided to dedicate her life to improvisation, vocal art, performance, composition, radio art and installation art.

Currently Aurélie Lierman has a professional career as a creating and performing artist meanwhile studying composition with Yannis Kyriakides and Martijn Padding. Her classical and experimental voice teachers are Lenie van den Heuvel and Claron McFadden.
